Jesse Ragan
Type designer extraordinaire, Jesse Ragan, released the latest iteration of his website this past week. Chock full of new and meticulously designed work, Jesse’s type design gets more interesting with each project. His projects range from the current typeface of V Magazine, to the logotype for Glade, to working closely with Hoefler-Frere Jones on major typefaces like Gotham and Archer. Jesse, a self proclaimed designer of serious typefaces, is sure to continue to awe and inspire aspiring (and current!) type designers.
Can’t wait to hear him speak tomorrow!

How random…this was designed by my typography 3 teacher…the original is massive…and done in ballpoint pen.

Workin’ on some identity stuff for our made-up company.
Threw this together in ten minutes at 7:00 in the morning today. Ended up being the best-ish one out of three. Still needs work, logo ain’t kerned yet, colors aren’t final, but you get the idea.

Three book cover redesigns due for The Kite Runner. Three different concepts, three different executions. And none of them can have a kite.
This is my first one but I’m not feelin it yet. This is one of my all-time favorite books and it feels like I’m not doing justice to it.
meh.
Saturday night gothic type explorations. Why is my life so depressing.

My closet space is very oddly designed and I don’t quite have the time or money to put together some nice shelving space. I’ve got a lot of white space above my hanging clothes that I needed to fill up, and so I did with some quotes from Karl Lagerfield and Coco Chanel. Sadly, these quotes are the only bit of Chanel I’ve got in here.
*Excuse the mismatched hangers, they’re bothering me too, I’m working on them!
New post on my DIY blog! Check it out :)
